STAGING

Premier message
South Australian Premier, Jay Weatherill was a keen participant in the Frontier Services campaign to send a message of support to the people of remote Australia from the Royal Adelaide Show yesterday. The Premier, who was visiting the Show with his family, is heading to the far north of the state next month and was only too happy to have his photograph taken with his message.

It was a very big day at the Show in the woodcutting arena for Frontier Services with the Second test in the John Flynn Memorial Australia, NZ, USA Women’s Test Series and the final of the Combination Championship. The second test was won by the team from the USA who are rapidly becoming used to the much harder wood that is used for chopping in Australia. The women are thoroughly enjoying the competition and the warm welcome they have received from Adelaide and from the Woodcutting Competition.

The final is scheduled for Monday afternoon.

Rev Jenny Swanbury was a wiling visitor to the ABC stage on Sunday morning, broadcasting live and telling her story of patrol ministry.

Some welcome sunshine brought out the crowds on what was a very successful Sunday at the Royal Adelaide Show.

Acknowledgement of Country

Frontier Services acknowledges the sovereign First Peoples on whose lands and waters we live, meet, and work.

We pay our respects to their Elders past and present and to all descendants of these Nations who have cared for this place since Creation.
