Uniting Church in Australia, Northern Synod website, 3 May 2012.  

In April 2011 Stuart Traynor, chairman of the Alice Springs National Trust invited the Uniting Church in Alice Springs to celebrate the heritage of the AIM during Heritage Week in April 2012… The day arrived with Frontier Services Patrol Minister Colin Gordon as Pardre Bruce Plowman riding one of three camels down Todd Mall to Adelaide House. Marcus Williams of Pyndan Camels led the camels as Dick Gillen would have done nearly a century ago. They were welcomed by mayor Damien Ryan, Stuart Traynor, Sister Small (Margaret Hewitt) and Sister Pope (Laurel Butcher). Read full article.
